This is the time to seize power. There’s no better way to visit a galaxy far far away than to play some of the best Star Wars video games. Sure, popping in your faded VHS copy of A New Hope for the seven billionth time might be one way to revisit your favorite characters, but video games offer a more interactive experience and there are so many great Star Wars games to choose from. But if there’s one unfortunate thing about most Star Wars video games, it’s the fact that most of them force you to play as the pathetically weak light side of the force. For aspiring Dark Lords of the Sith, this is completely unacceptable. Sure the dark side of the force might offer experiences some would consider to be...unnatural, but only through indulging in these darker impulses can one master the dark side of the force to gain true power within the digital realm. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens the grip of the dark side appears stronger than ever with the Jedi order virtually exterminated and Luke Skywalker MIA from the galaxy at large. What better way for all aspiring disciples to practice their force chokes, sharpen their red lightsabers, and power up their force lighting by playing our list of the best Star Wars Sith video games.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter lets you step into the bootstraps of Jango Fett, the father of everyone’s favorite mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett. In this Star Wars Sith video game, you play as Jango Fett in a prequel to Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. In this third person action game, not only do you get to hunt down the vilest aliens and scum of the galaxy, but you also get to wield all of the signature weapons fans have grown to know and love. From dual blaster pistols, flamethrowers, and even jetpack-mounted missiles, there is no shortage of weaponry to test out. Every Sith Lord needs a reliable bounty hunter they can count on to capture rebel scum and through Star Wars Bounty Hunter, you are finally given the chance to get your hands dirty alongside a hive of scum and villainy.

The seminal RPG from famed developer bioware, this game takes place 4,000 years before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy. This is a time where the galaxy is littered with Jedi and Sith fighting a never-ending war vying for supremacy. In this role playing game, you get to make several important moral decisions that can sway your character's alignment to either the light side or the dark. These moral decisions help you directly experience your own path towards the dark side, as you crush petty emotions like compassion and empathy as you forge your own destiny defined by power. Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic video game is a RPG battle system that even rewards you with new force powers tailored to the dark side as you ultimately usurp the game’s villain, Darth Malak, from power so you can take his place.

In this Star Wars Sith video game, you play as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice that he’s raising in order to overthrow the emperor. The game lets you indulge in all of your force inspired fantasies, by using the power of the Euphoria game engine. Developed by Natural motion, the game allows every in game NPC to have a dynamic animation system. So, as you toss Storm Troopers like rag tolls, they will flail helplessly clutching on to anything in the environment begging for help from your force powered shenanigans. Even better, if you choose to go with the Dark Side ending, you’d kill Vader and become the emperor's new apprentice. Expansion levels even featured an alternate storyline where you would hunt down and murder beloved Star Wars characters like Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, putting an end to the rebellion with your lightsaber.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords video game, proves that sequels can be better than the original. In this case, the sequel stemmed off of the classic video game, Knights of the Old Republic. Taking place five years after the first game, the Jedi have been nearly extinguished by the Sith. As a lone Jedi, you are exiled and it is up to you to either push things back in the Jedi’s favor, or ensure another era of Sith controlled darkness reigns supreme for centuries. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, The Sith Lords lets you continue your legacy of darkness across the galaxy in your further pursuit to master all of the powers of the Dark Side.

A true Sith Lord must be a master of many skills, many of which can not just be limited to the force. Tie Fighter is a space combat simulator sees you strapped into the driver’s seat of one of the coolest Star Wars spaceships, and is also one of the best Star Wars saga video games overall. This award winning flight simulator puts you in dogfights with the rebellion, allowing the Dark Side to flow through you as you engage in epic space battle crushing pitiful fools from the rebellion. This might seem like petty busywork for an aspiring Dark Lord of the Sith, but remember, Lord Vader was well known as an exceptional and feared fighter pilot. Students of the dark side must not be afraid to get their hands dirty and embrace their chance to fight.

In the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game, Bioware took their famed Knights of the Old Republic RPG series and expanded it into an epic MMORPG where you can choose to side with the Republic or pick the Sith empire. The game not only lets you conquer the galaxy, but it also allows you to collaborate with thousands of other aspiring students of the Dark Side in one of the biggest Star Wars video games ever created. Concerned you won't enjoy the game? Don't worry. Now you don’t even have to spend a dime, since the game became free-to-play. The online game offers thousands of hours of content with each player class having it’s own storyline and two factions to choose from. But as a student of the Sith would know, there’s only one right option.

This Star Wars Sith video game is a real time strategy game that lets you take command of all the forces that the Imperial Empire has at its disposal to crush the puny Rebel Alliance. Smash through their pathetic defenses with AT-AT and AT-ST walkers, and command the stars with Imperial Star Destroyers in space combat. Being a tru Sith Lord requires more than just the ability to handle a lightsaber. This game allows you to stretch your tactical mettle with all of weapons of the imperial armada. Of course there’s also a campaign where you can try playing as the rebels, but no true Lord of the Sith would ever consider ever associating with pathetic Rebel scum.

Star Wars Battlefront II is a first and third person shooter video game that takes the popular battlefield format of mixing troop and vehicle combat, and brings it to a galaxy far, far away. Pick the Rebels or the Imperial Forces and play out classic Star Wars battles. Fly and pilot some of the most iconic ships and vehicles of all time. Even better, you can earn the right to play as the iconic hero of the Sith himself, Darth Vader, as you lead your army to victory by decimating the pitiful Rebel forces. You can even play through multiple different eras of Star Wars, including the prequel trilogy. But real students of the Dark Side will stick with the imperium so they can sharpen their skills on the battlefield and enjoy ultimate power. The game even features a single player mode where you play as a stormtrooper in Darth Vader's legendary 501st legion in a campaign that takes place across both the prequel era of Star Wars as well as famed battles in the original trilogy.

At first glance, no self-respecting Sith Lord would ever be caught dead playing with even the best Star Wars Lego sets. But the best way to coax new apprentices to the Dark Side is to start young. There’s no better way to do that than to seduce young potential Padawans with Legos. In the Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga video game, you can play as the Emperor and Darth Vader to inflict child-friendly death upon your enemies. While Lego violence might not be as good as some of the other games on this list, remember the path to the Dark Side is filled with small concessions. The first step is slicing Legos Stormtroopers and Battle Droids with your plastic lightsaber, then comes melting your foe's plastic bodies with force lightning!

As a sequel to the Force Unleashed, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II takes the light side ending as canon with Vader’s apprentice Starkiller sacrificing himself to save the leaders of the rebel alliance, or you can make things right by choosing the correct path. You play this Star Wars Sith video game as a clone of the original Starkiller seeking out the truth behind his identity. Here you have the chance to correct the failures of your past and fulfill your Sith destiny by choosing the Dark Side. In expansions, you even go as far as to play through an alternate version of the battle of Endor where you get to murder Han Solo and Chewbacca and fight a force powered princess Leia who’s embraced her destiny as a Jedi. This game brings everything full circle in your journey to becoming a truth Sith Lord by killing off the last remaining heroes from the original trilogy. So, bask in your dark glory as your final transformation into a Sith lord is complete.

Star Wars: Republic Commando is a first-person video game released in 2005. You play as a "Special" Clone Commando that is different from your average clone. Your armor, your main weapon, and most importantly your squad. Scorch (Delta-62) is you demolition and explosives expert, Fixer(Delta-40) is the squad's slicer and technology expert, Sev (Delta07) – clone sniper. In the game, you must use teamwork and strategy. Even though your squad members are generally controlled by the computer, you can give direct them to perform specific, tactical moves advising them to take position, set demolition charges and hack computer systems. The game is set at the start of the Clone Wars, as seen in Episode II, featuring Clone Troopers and Jedi fighting a common foe side-by side.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is a first and third person video game which released for PC and Xbox in far 2003. The player can modify the gender character’s and can construct a lightsaber, choosing the hilt style and blade color. Utilize two if you prefer or try the ultimate dual-bladed lightsaber. You can use weapons, vehicles, force powers and experience Star Wars locations. Six multiplayer modes including team based siege mode and two-on-one power duel. Fight in 23 multiplayer arenas! You play a young Jedi Academy student who must stop an evil plot by Dark Jedi to collect and use Dark Side energy for their own ends.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a first and third-person action game in the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes. The story-driven single-player campaign is set in the Star Wars expanded universe two years after the events of Mysteries of the Sith. The plot follows Kyle Katarn as he fights against the Dark Jedi Desann and his followers. The single-player campaign follows Kyle Katarn as he moves through the levels in a linear manner, meeting friendly and hostile Non-player characters (NPCs). Friendly NPCs will occasionally assist the player in combat. In addition to combat, the campaign features a variety of puzzles

Star Wars: Battlefront is an action game played from either a first-person or third-person developed by DICE and released worldwide in November 2015. The player will visit planets from the original trilogy, such as Endor, Tatooine Sullus. Players can use vehicles, such as speederbikes or AT-ATs and piloting TIE fighters and the Millennium Falcon. The game lets players to control either a Rebel soldier or an Imperial Stormtrooper, also player can controlled characters from the film, such as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Darth Vader and Han Solo. Fight for the Rebellion or Empire in a wide variety of multiplayer matches for up to 40 players, or in exciting challenges inspired by the films available solo, split-screen or through online co-op.

Star Wars: Starfighter is a mission-based game. Each level of this Star Wars Sith video game opens with a set of objectives, and you'll typically be given a new objective or two as the level progresses. Mission objectives range from destroying shield generators to conducting rescue operations and protecting all sorts of carriers and bases. In fact, the game seems to gravitate more toward defensive missions than offensive missions, especially in the first half. Each mission also has a set of bonus goals, which, if completed, earn you medals. Earning medals unlocks bonus missions, such as fighter and bomber training, which take place outside of the main storyline. Each mission has three difficulty settings, and they're accurately named. The easy difficulty is an absolute cakewalk right up until the last mission, and the hard mode is an excellent challenge in the later missions.
