Introduction Although most people do not realize it consciously, we now live in a world where new information is published continually in journals, articles, books, websites, and even on television at a weekly basis. According to the international Publishers Association’s (IPA) Annual Report, the United States published over three hundred thousand new titles and re-editions. Interestingly, topics that cover Asian or eastern religions and philosophy also fit within this explosion of informational publications including Sikhism, Zen, Shintoism, Confucianism and multitudes more. This can be especially observed in courses that are taught in universities, colleges and other teaching establishments in the western world.
