Astral Projection and Astral Travel
Hello New Age Thinkers, welcome back to another edition of the New Age Thoughts blog! Today we’re going to be covering an extremely exciting topic; Astral projection. This is something that is of extreme interest in the spiritual community. Many questions that I've seen, been asked, and I have asked are, "Is astral projection the same thing as an out of body experience? Can I die? Is it safe? Can anyone do it?" With all of that being said, we're going to dive right in and discuss details about what projection is, who can do it then, but I’m gonna answer his questions and I seem to be very common so just dive right in.

Spirituality Is a Spectrum
What's up everyone, welcome back to another blog from New Age Thoughts. I've been doing a lot of research on "spiritual" abilities lately. I've found that it can be incredibly stressful, at least in the sense of trying to continue a spiritual life while everyone else around me is boasting massive accomplishments in their spiritual life. However, through meditation, I've relaized, it is a spectrum. Everyone's gifts vary.

Being Spiritual in a Distracted World
What's up New Age Thinkers! It has been a while since I've posted. Just to give you an update on my life, I finally graduated from my university, with two degrees, I was able to find a position in my field and now I'm establishing my self in my mundane career. I've been finding that, although I am extremely spiritual, my way of life is being attacked by the everyday distractions of our world. As the title states, this blog is going to talk about the ways we can incorporate some basic and introductory spiritual practices in your life so that you can either start, continue, or get back on the bandwagon of spiritual life!

The Role of Social Sciences in History
The roles that the social sciences have within history are more important that one would have considered when attempting to define the word history. For the layman, they would consider history to be a compilation of dates, facts, and artifacts. Yet, the social sciences are tied into those dates, facts, and artifacts, and in such a way that the layman would once again avoid any appreciation for the art. Historians easily fall into the role of social sciences. This essay is going to be covering three different social science perspectives. The first deals with history anthropologically, this is covered by Edward Said, who discusses how the hegemonic impacts in Orientalism. The second is E.P. Thompson, with his sociological approach on classes. The third covered is the topic of historical materialism covered by Marx and Engels.

Buddhist Doctrines
Hello, again New Age Thinkers! I am extremely glad to be writing part two of the Buddhist document. This article is going to observe and discuss the various doctrines that make up Buddhism. Like stated in the last article, this is a three-part series. I will be posting one more article about Buddhism! There are many doctrines that make up the Buddhist faith. Although at first glance they may seem complicated, they are not. The intention of these articles is to break down the religion so that it is simple enough to understand while still introducing the religion for you.

Introduction to Buddhism: a Three Part Series on Buddhism
Buddhism is a spiritual path that is difficult to call a religion. This is because there aren’t any gods or goddesses that are prayed to. However, it does have some creeds that make it similar to religions. Since Buddhism is such a broad topic, there will be at least three articles that discuss the Buddhism. The first article will cover the history of Buddhism, which consists of who the founder is, and it will introduce some of the doctrines. The second will deal directly with core doctrines that are found in Buddhism. It will go into detail about them. The third will give some ideas of how to implement Buddhism into your daily life, or if you so decide, convert to Buddhism. It will also include some of the various sects of Buddhism that are found around the world.

Ghosts and Astral Projection
New Age is a form of spirituality with a focus on the well being of the mind, body and spirit. However, there is a form of esotericism that is involved. Many New Agers start to perform different rituals and deal with different forms of occultism. What many people are not aware of is that within the word “spirituality,” the word spirit is the root word there. Whenever you decide that you want to do any type of ritual, prayer, or invoking ceremony be aware that spirits are all around you. Like the movie Insidious said, “If you call out to one of the dead. All of them can hear you.” So do not take invocation lightly. You can invoke when playing different spirit games like the Ouija board, when using pendulums, automatic writing and dowsing rods. No matter what you decide to do, just be aware that you can end up with someone or something that you don’t want coming around. Now I’m not saying, “Don’t do these things because it’s bad.” On the contrary, all of these things are tools to be used when you are ready and have done extensive reading and training. With that being said, I want to talk about three different types of spirits.

Spirituality
The world is filled with so many different religions and they all claim to be the only path to save your soul. Just the mere thought of that is very intimidating. Trying to choose which path is the one for our spiritual salvation is even scarier. The simple choices we face in our everyday lives, such as trying to find something to eat can be extremely complicated. To simplify it for ourselves we ask a series of questions, “do I want fast food, pizza, or should I cook at home?” When we struggle with a choice so simple such a food, why would choosing a religion be simple? We don’t have the same simple questions to ask ourselves because each religion varies tremendously. With all of that being said. You should take some comfort that you are not alone. There are millions of people who have no idea where to place their faith.
