Put Thought into Your DNA
Sooner or later, all of us seek to make known the unknown, to expand our consciousness beyond the habitual and limited “box” of comfortable thinking patterns. Whether this is motivated by pain or desire, a spiritual student challenges him or herself to change their thinking, to change their reality, to become new. And any thorough, disciplined spiritual study is designed to produce the changes desired, and even facilitate mastery—mastery of service to others and God, and mastery of the mind and creative powers. To make these changes, there needs to be a commitment of mind, soul, and body. Mind creates the desire, but just how does the body follow? How do our changing attitudes take effect in our bodies? How can we most effectively align these physical bodies that we still have in this journey?

Turning Down the Near Sound
I knew how important it was for me growing up to develop familiarity with silence. I spent hours and hours in nature, in silence, listening outwardly and inwardly, or imitating sounds. I grew to appreciate space, physically and mentally, as I practiced stilling my thoughts completely. I found that if I stopped thinking completely, the animals around me didn’t notice me. I figured at the time that I had turned invisible to them. Now I realize that I was temporarily dissolving my ego by suspending myself in what mystics call the Present Moment.

Imitating the Sea of Sound
Ever since I was a kid myself, I have loved to imitate. I consistently got good laughs from imitating sounds, imitating singers, imitating friends. I loved the challenge of exactly matching a sound, whether it was a bird, vacuum cleaner, or person. I worked diligently to match sounds, which I came to see involved a good deal of listening, of patience, and concentration. Imitating is an all-around, comprehensive metaphysical exercise in the use of sound. It is also a blast to do with children.

A Child’s Voice Found Through Intuitive Science
No one really knew what to do for Gracie. The doctors didn’t know what was causing it, so they didn’t know how to treat it. Allergies? At eighteen months old, Gracie couldn’t tell anyone what was going on in her body. She couldn’t explain why her nose ran constantly since she was just a few weeks old. She couldn’t explain why her eyes moved independently of each other, and why the earaches kept coming. Did she need more antibiotics? Special glasses? Tubes in her ears? Different medications?
