Carbon Footprint

#EnvironmentalWellness

Want to save the world? You can help save the world by reducing your carbon footprint! Yours, and everyone else's life choices have a large impact on the environment and the climate. Carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions have been linked to climate change... and we only have one Earth.

What is a Carbon Footprint?

A carbon footprint is a rough estimate of the annual amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases each person creates. Carbon Footprints are calculated on a variety of factors, including geographical location, age, and each year based your lifestyle choices.

What is Climate Change?

Climate Change (formerly known as Global Warming) is the pending threat of long term changes from the temperature of the Earth’s surface. Climate change has caused long term shifts to weather patterns, which is also causing events like glaciers melting and destroying coral reefs. As climate change continues more severe events will happen, like droughts, heat waves, and even hurricanes.

The following message is brought to you by The Nature Conservancy:

"Inevitably, in going about our daily lives—commuting, sheltering our families, eating—each of us contributes to the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change. Yet, there are many things each of us, as individuals, can do to reduce our carbon emissions. The choices we make in our homes, our travel, the food we eat, and what we buy and throw away all influence our carbon footprint and can help ensure a stable climate for future generations."

Thank you for reading my article. Would it be okay if I ask another favour though? Would it be okay if you share this on your Facebook page or Twitter? If you can't share, there is a tiny little donate box at the bottom too. No pressure though, just thought I would mention it.
