Billie Lourd will once again be wearing that iconic hairstyle, returning for Disney's untitled eight Star Wars film. Lourd had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo alongside her real life mother, Carrie Fisher, in last year's J.J. Abrams epic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Spotted in the resistance base, her character, Lieutenant Connix, had only one line:

[To Leia] General, are you seeing this?

Lourd is best known for playing Chanel #3 in Ryan Murphy's anthology series, Scream Queens, and is set to return to the role for a second season later this year. When at a promotional event for the show this weekend, Lourd remained cagey on details. When asked what her next film project was, she did let one very big thing slip:

I am working on Star Wars VIII, but that's all I can say.

An ever increasing cast for Star Wars puts Lourd amongst returning stars like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and her own mother Carrie Fisher. Also announced to join are Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern. What the mini-Leia's expanded role will be in Episode VIII is still in the early stages, but as filming has just begun, we have a long wait until the proposed December 15 2017 release date.
