'Star Wars’ Finally Gives Some Canon Origins Of The Sith
The Sith is the ancient enemy of the Jedi. The yin to their yang. Their rivalry lasted for millennia, resulting in countless deaths and many wars. When did this all begin? Well, those secrets are to be revealed in Lucasfilm's latest tie-in book Star Wars: Secrets of the Sith. The Sith ultimately wants power, so much so that they strive for total galactic domination. A grand plan was put into motion by the Dark Lord Darth Bane millenia ago. Through the Rule of Two, the Sith would wait in the shadows, growing in power and corrupting the Republic from within and bring an end to the Jedi Order. This grand plan was finally fulfilled by Darth Sidious. Ironically, Sidious would also be the last Sith Lord. Soon after his resurrection on the Sith homeworld of Exegol he was defeated and killed by his own granddaughter, Rey, ending the Sith once and for all. If that is where the Sith ends, where does it all begin?

Since the dawn of civilization, mankind has made a habit of domesticating the wild animals that we share our world with. In the beginning this was largely done as a means of survival but, as time went on, we began to take in these animals as companions. The same can be said for the inhabitants of a galaxy far, far away. There’s no shortage of bizarre fauna in the Star Wars galaxy, and while many of these creatures would be quick to make a meal out of you, there are those that were domesticated as pets. They may serve the same role as a dog or a cat, but that’s about where the similarities end. Nevertheless, these are a few of the creatures that would make a welcome addition to any Star Wars family.

Star Wars has a large cast of characters ranging from our main cast such as Luke, Rey, and Anakin, to secondary characters like Boba Fett, and even background characters like Ochi of Bestoon. What do they all have in common apart from living in Star Wars? They all have the opportunity to develop and grow into fully fleshed-out characters. Sometimes a character with just one scene can even have their own book series later on down the line. However, some characters never get this treatment even when they have a lot of potential. But which characters should go on? Which ones deserve to be talked about more? This list will go over a few ideas that might come to mind.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismThese Are The Biggest Issues with Star Wars Animation
Star Wars and animation have gone hand-in-hand since the original release of the first film. From giving us our first look at Boba Fett, to the chronicle of the Clone War from George Lucas and Dave Filoni, Star Wars animation has been an important part of the saga for generations. However, I don’t think Star Wars has ever reached its true potential in animation despite the cornucopia of animated shows we have received. That is not to say that there are no good animated Star Wars shows, but there are few that really take advantage of what the medium is capable of, which is somewhat disappointing.

The Star Wars franchise has been around for a long, long time. Since its debut with A New Hope in 1977, there has been no shortage of spin-offs and tie-ins surrounding the vast galaxy of the films. The series spawned books and comics, then came video games, and merchandise galore. This went on for quite some time until the prequel trilogy rolled around in the early 2000s. Then, things slowed down. For over a decade fans were left wanting with little to no content on the horizon. Then, Disney acquired the franchise in 2012 and the floodgates burst open once again.

One of the most endearing qualities of Star Wars is how quotable the movies and series are (some more than others to be sure). Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismDo the Prequels Work as a Trilogy?
The prequel trilogy, love them or hate them, they sure have left their mark on Star Wars. There have been many critiques of the trilogy over the years, however one critique that hasn’t been brought up that many have talked about is; Do the prequels work as a trilogy? Do all three films culminate into one epic finale? Do all the plot threads started with The Phantom Menace finish nicely in Revenge of the Sith. Well perhaps we should take a look at The Phantom Menace and see what went on, what was left behind, and what was added in the middle.

Although the original trilogy movies are, chronologically, the "middle" trilogy in the Skywalker Saga, they were the first batch of Star Wars movies produced and, as such, John Williams' compositions for these films laid the groundwork for the subsequent trilogies. Presented here are the best musical pieces from each of the original trilogy movies. Nearly all the cues have been released on CD and digital download, although the expanded soundtrack releases with detailed liner notes and demos seem to be out of print at this time. Disney remastered and re-released the original scores to these movies on CD,LP, and digital download in recent years, which contain most of the essential cues from the original trilogy movies. A re-release of the expanded scores would definitely be welcome, eventually.

One of the most iconic moments in Star Wars is the first on-screen confrontation between our hero, Luke Skywalker, and the vile villain, Darth Vader. This duel, beginning in the Cloud City carbon freezing chamber and raging throughout the cities infrastructure, has some of the most stunning visuals, breathtaking moments, and intense choreography of the trilogy. It is also the prelude to a scene that has been canonized into the halls of timeless pop culture. The revelation that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father. This revelation is made all the more world-shattering, for audiences as well as Luke, due to Vader's mutilation of Luke moments before, securing victory in their duel. With a looping parry, Vader knocks aside Skywalker's blade and slices through his wrist, sending Luke's hand and weapon careening down through the abyss below Cloud City.
