How Ben Solo Achieved What Anakin Couldn't
“I will finish, what you started.” Those were Kylo Ren’s words to his grandfather Darth Vader as he spoke to his helmet, hoping to hear the voice inside his head once again. Many have wondered just what exactly that meant when he spoke those words to the possible dead spirit of a dark lord of the Sith. Was it to restore the Empire, destroy the Jedi, or become a Sith Lord? Well in a weird way, Kylo Ren may not have finished what Vader had started, but Ben Solo was able to complete a mission Anakin had begun all the way back in the prequels: the power to save the ones he cared about from dying.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismTop 5 'Star Wars' Lightsaber Duelists In Canon RANKED
The canon Star Wars movies have so many great lightsaber battles, it is difficult to determine which specific duelist was the best. There are stories and legends from outside of canon that boost the resumes of some, but it does not all translate in the final film product. While perhaps controversial, here is my ranked list of best Star Wars lightsaber duelists.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismTop 10 'Star Wars' Plot Holes
Telling stories is hard, and even the best storytellers run into difficulties in telling their stories from time to time. It is impossible to plan out every single detail of a story (unless you are Tolkien) to make it bulletproof to critics. Some logical inconsistencies or odd story beats are bound to come up, and even the best filmmakers and writers do not always have all the answers. A franchise as massive as Star Wars is bound to have its fair share of peculiar story beats. Unfortunately today, that means that fans will post every inconsistency they can think of online for the world to see. That being said, here is my list of odd plot points in Star Wars that can make you scratch your head.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismWhy 'The Rise Of Skywalker' Is Better Than You Think
The Rise of Skywalker, the ninth and final entry in the Skywalker saga, has polarized the Star Wars community, much like the movie that preceded it, The Last Jedi. Rise of Skywalker is frequently mentioned on lists like "worst finales" or even "franchise killers," alongside other controversial finales like season 8 of Game of Thrones. Aside from the fact that Rise of Skywalker, in fact, has NOT killed the Star Wars franchise, it is actually quite a solid movie, and I think it is worth a second glance (or a first one if you have not seen it yet).

The Bad Batch Season 1 finale might have only aired just last week, but, instead of everyone reminiscing and looking back on it, all it has done is led to many Star Wars fans wanting more. A distinct void is waiting to be filled in everyone's viewing schedule now, so everyone's attention has now turned squarely towards the upcoming shows, specifically, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in Futurism'War Of The Bounty Hunters' Sees Two Fan Favorites Go Head To Head
The comic series War of the Bounty Hunters is giving Star Wars fans a story covering the time between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, specifically focusing on the continuation of Han Solo's and Boba Fett's story after the latter was frozen in carbonite. We know he will eventually end up as a trophy on Jabba the Hutt's wall, but it turns out Boba Fett didn't have as easy a time making the delivery as we were led to believe, and he's now about to go up against a very formidable foe in the form of Solo's best friend and co-pilot, the Wookiee Chewbacca.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismIs Leia Now A Disney Princess?
With Star Wars now a Disney property, Princess Leia has officially been brought into the Disney fold. Does that automatically qualify her as a Disney princess? Disney has a long and successful canon with its female protagonists and it has a specific formula for those who qualify as Disney princesses. While Leia fits into the new mold, Disney may have tight requirements.

Out of the many Dark Lords of the Sith, Plagueis was one who was said to be able to achieve the power to stop death. Although he could not achieve immortality for himself, he managed to manipulate the Force in such a way that he was able to create life. There aren’t many facts in the current canon, yet Legends has a lot of amazing information about Emperor Palpatine’s master, Darth Plagueis the Wise. Here are top 10 things you didn’t know about Darth Plagueis.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismEA Confirms 'Jedi: Fallen Order' Will Get A Sequel Game
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a break-out hit in 2019. It blended tight controls Dark Souls-like combat, exploration, and an engaging story into one neat Star Wars package. It also offered Star Wars fans the opportunity to finally craft their own lightsaber which hasn’t been seen in very many Star Wars games. The game became a critical and financial success for EA and the developer Respawn. It was also an opportunity for Respawn to branch out and work on a game outside of the FPS genre, which they are known for, and it was mostly free of the controversy that surrounded EA’s other Star Wars games. With the game’s success, it seemed guaranteed to get a sequel like so many games with equal success before it, but there has been no word on a sequel until now.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in Futurism‘Star Wars’ Theory: Did Obi-Wan Know Stormtroopers Weren’t Clone Troopers?
Obi-Wan Kenobi had a long history with clone troopers. He was essentially the first to discover them on Kamino. He would lead Captain Rex and Commander Cody and their legions during the Clone Wars. After the Clone Wars concluded, Obi-Wan retreated to Tatooine to watch over Luke. However, between the periods of Obi-Wan leading clones in battle to when we next saw him mind tricking and fighting stormtroopers in A New Hope, a lot has changed in the background of the troopers.

The history of Star Wars and Lego dates back to 1999, when the first models were released for The Phantom Menace. The first animated short called Lego Star Wars: The Han Solo Affair premiered in 2002. Since then, countless vehicles, dioramas, mini-figures, books, video games, and animated films and series have been released, and they combine the fun of building incredible things out of little bricks with the vastness of Star Wars.
Culture SlatePublished 3 years ago in FuturismPlanned 'Star Wars' Movies We'll Never Get To See
The cinematic part of Star Wars is on hiatus right now, until Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron hits theaters Christmas of 2023. But between May 25, 1977 and December 20, 2019, there have been twelve canonical Star Wars movies released on the big screen. Apart from the nine films of the Skywalker saga, there were two standalone movies (Rogue One in 2016 and Solo in 2018), as well as The Clone Wars movie from 2008. Additionally, the two made-for-TV Ewok movies from the '80s have been released in cinemas in Europe. Over the decades there have been plans for or at least rumors about a number of additional Star Wars movies that were never made and most probably will never see the light of day, as detailed below.
