Hester Hill Phenomena

How it All Began

The spot of land, in East Texas, the Paradise in Pines, called "Hester Hill" had been in the Hester family for over a hundred years. Rumor had it there was an old graveyard somewhere on the place, due to the fact of the American and Indian War. No one had ever found it, though, but it sure made for a good story. Now, there has always been a lot of talk about "aliens from Outer Space" and "Extraterresterials," as some called them. Well, it's true. They do exist. But humans never got to see them, because there was something about Hester Hill that attracted aliens — and once they landed they were never seen or heard from (their home planet) again. This is the first in a chronicle of stories of how Hester Hill inhabitants unknowingly used their resources and saved the Earth from possible invasion!

Two Aliens, quite intelligent and advanced, were on a mission to find new resources for their ailing planet. After visiting several other planets, they accidentally stumbled upon Earth. Eager to explore, they landed their ship on that spot of land called Hester Hill.

Of course, not wanting to be noticed while they made investigations, they looked around at their surroundings to see what they should do to make their ship blend in. They immediately noticed several machines with two wheels, long pipe things sticking up high, and a soft padded cushion that seemed to be made to sit on. (They were looking at motorcycles, about 10 of them; Richard Harold collects them). So, they transformed their spaceship into a motorcycle. Now, they needed a disguise that would enable them to do some snooping without causing trouble. Hmmmmm —that was interesting, there were numerous red flying creatures with black wings and long legs. Those little ships could sure do some flying; very dexterous in the air. Yep, that would do nicely. So, with all the confidence in the world, the two aliens hijacked the bodies of 2 RED WASPS and thus, commenced their investigation.

About this same time, Richard Harold, made his way out to the barn with every intention of sitting in his "barn cave" and drinking a few beers. Richard Harold loved beer! Before he got to that, though, he noticed a strange motorcycle. He scratched his head, trying to remember where he got it from — but nothing came to him. He examined the bike closer, damn, it was cool looking. All silver shaped, like a bullet, with some badass handlebars that felt harder than steel, but were not heavy to hold up. Obviously, someone had just given it to him and left it here. He figured it was all shot to hell and would probably take a while to fix.

While Hester worked on his new motorcycle project, which was the strangest put together cycle he had ever seen, he unknowingly triggered an alarm on the incognito spaceship. That quickly got the attention of the two aliens (in their wasps costumes). They came flying in a frenzy to see what was going on with their ship. That ship was all they had; it was their ticket back to their home planet. They couldn't let this human destroy it so they started flying around, dipping and dodging, circling and coming straight at him to try and make him stop.

"Gotdamn wasps!" muttered Hester, as he went into his shop and came back with a full can of Raid Wasp and Hornet Spray.

That ended up being the fastest, coolest, most exciting motorcycle to ride. But Richard Harold never could figure out who gave it to him!
