Characters: Tusra and Anastra

Tusra Greylock, clad in his usual blue and pale silver patterned long coat sat at his desk. Piles of books surrounded him, he plucked one from the pile and opened its pages. Smiling he adjusted his half-moon monocle and inked his quill. As soon as he was about to put quill to paper there was a loud sound.

BANG! CRASH!

“TUSRA!” came an echo of a woman in peril.

Tusra grinned and attempted to write again. He ignored the continuing voice of panic and horror, as they continued to call his name. It began to get louder and louder 'til the being that the voice belonged to came hurling themself through his door.

“TUSRA! I have been calling you!”

"Oh did you? I’m sorry, I didn’t hear you," he said with a smug grin, not even turning to face them.

"You lousy, good for nothing—"

Tusra tutted, as he turned to face the Princess Anastra of Goldenwood. She was furious, dressed in dark brown trousers, boots and a dirty cream blouse. Her hair, that was usually pristine in its up-do, was scraggly and messy.

“Princess, that is no way to dress,” Tusra commented dryly, and turned back around again.

“Where are they?” she demanded, folding her arms and stomping towards him.

There came no answer from him and she kicked the chair around so he faced her properly. His face was of momentary shock before grinning again.

"Princess, you are—" he took out his pocket watch "—two hours late for your lesson. Approximately an hour ago you were still asleep.” He noted, replacing his watch back in his inside pocket.

The look of rage carved into the Princess’ soft features was no threat to Tusra, as much as he hated angering her, this needed to happen. “When you can come to lesson on time so that I can actually do my duty as your mentor, then and only then will I return your affects.” He explained.

Tusra considered bargaining with her, but he remembered that he had already tried that before.

“Give me my sword and bow, please!” Anastra stressed the please and looked at him with her sad eyes, a trick that she used a lot during their younger days, now had no effect on him.

“The answer is no. Change into your Princess outfit and let us press on with your lesson and then we can talk,” he said, standing and guiding her out of his room and almost shoved her back down the hallway. Just to add insult to injury he also shoo-ed her when she opened her mouth to either insult him or cast the ‘just you wait 'til Arda hears about this’ to him.

One of the guards close to Tusra watched the entire ordeal and spoke. “Forgive me, Master Greylock, but are you sure this will work?”

Tusra smiled and waved at him for asking for forgiveness.

“Don’t worry about it D’haral, the worst thing she can give me is the silent treatment. The King on the other hand, will have my head if she isn’t educated properly,” he replied, with a soft sigh.

Turning around he headed back into his room and looked towards his chest. It was a parting gift from the Monks, it can sort an unending amount of items inside and still be light enough for one person to carry. Opening its jaws he peered inside and checked that her Sword and Bow were still there, not like he needed to. Closing it again, he uttered the right incantation and it glowed a hazy green as it sealed itself.

Anastra knocked on the door and spinning around Tusra smiled gently and invited her to sit on the chair next to his. Dressed in a light pink dress with lighter purple trimmings she gracefully sat as instructed and waited. As he predicted, the silent treatment, he can deal with this, as it means the lesson will go uninterrupted. Tusra looked to D'haral and smiled sadly to him as he closed the door and sat beside his Princess.
