It's 'punbelievable' that once again it is that day of the year. A day of bad Han Solo jokes, dogs dressing as Yoda and a reminder that Jar Jar Binks actually existed. That's right:

The rumours are big, more casting, a new trailer...an Episode VIII title? Just what is around the corner for May 4 this year? So where does the origin of Star Wars Day come from? According to Starwars.com we have been celebrating Star Wars Day from all the way back in 1979, randomly when Margaret Thatcher came to power as Great Britain's first female prime minister:

To celebrate their victory her party took a half page of advertising space in the London Evening News. This message, referring to the day of victory, was ‘May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations,’ further proof of the extent to which 'Star Wars' has influenced us all.
