Appearing in every Skywalker Saga film and numerous spinoffs, R2-D2 has remained a consistent character throughout Star Wars. Making his debut in A New Hope, R2-D2 has been an anchor in the constant shifts of tone and setting. From Anakin and Luke's favorite droid to the connecting presence of the sequels, it's safe to say that without R2 and C-3PO, the saga would not feel like a whole. The little blue R2 unit has evolved past a cutesy comedic relief to become a vital essence in the survival of numerous characters throughout the franchise.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismWill Darth Vader Tell The Emperor That Obi-Wan Is Alive?
Darth Vader and Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi had a long relationship that rivaled that of Maul's unbridled hate-filled existence in seeking vengeance all those years ago. Dating back to Attack of the Clones when Anakin felt contempt for Kenobi, that hatred morphed and twisted Anakin into a Dark Lord of the Sith. Vader was filled with hate, pain, regret, and an overabundance of emotions. After being lied to by Sheev Palpatine, he developed a lack of trust in anyone. The Anakin trapped inside Vader was very untrusting, especially of the Emperor. This begs the question, will Darth Vader reveal to the Emperor that Kenobi is alive in the show Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismHow ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Was Structured Like ‘Game of Thrones’
In The Book of Boba Fett, the infamous bounty hunter, Boba Fett, newly recovered from his fall into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi and freed from captivity from the Tusken Raiders, returns to Tatooine to become ruler of the late Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire. While every series has its own flavor, the show reminded me a lot of how Game of Thrones was structured, especially during the earlier seasons. This article will compare and contrast the structure and world-building of both series and why, if you are a fan of Game of Thrones and Star Wars, The Book of Boba Fett might be a good show to fill that post-Game with Thrones/pre-House of the Dragon void that currently exists following the 2019 conclusion of Game of Thrones. If you haven’t seen The Book of Boba Fett, it might be good just as an appetizer to the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series as well.

Obi-Wan being tasked with watching over young Luke can hardly be seen as a spoiler for the upcoming show on Disney+, set to premiere in just a few weeks on May 27. Ever since the end of Revenge of the Sith, it was clear that protecting the son of Anakin and Padme would be the main purpose of his stay on Tatooine. However, since the series was announced, it was also clear that watching over the Lars homestead and probably scaring off some Tusken Raiders would not be enough of a plot for the show, but that the Jedi Master might be forced to leave the desert planet to go on a dedicated mission.

Star Wars fans were shocked to see Luke Skywalker return in the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. The Jedi’s look, who was in his late 20s at the time of The Mandalorian not too long after Return of the Jedi, was created by a combination of Mark Hamill’s features and Max Lloyd-Jones’s body as a stand-in, and a lot of CGI on the end of Lucasfilm in order to create a de-aged Luke Skywalker.

After many delays, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was finally released on April 5th. It has been out for a month now, and gamers have had time to put many hours into the game, completing the main story, running around in free play, or doing a bit of both. One of the best things in this game (besides all the characters you can play) is the side missions! Some are ridiculous, but that is the beauty of a LEGO video game. The side missions range from unlocking characters to getting kyber bricks and unlocking unique vehicles. Each one is unique, but some are definitely more fun than others. These are the best side missions in The Skywalker Saga.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismWhat Is Spice, And Why Is It So Critical In 'Star Wars'?
Since 1977 Spice has been a part of the Star Wars universe. Rumor has is that the idea of Spice in Star Wars came from Dune. But most people only recognize the name as some sort of illicit drug, not knowing quite what it is or where it comes from. Legends had explanations spanning back to the youth of The Republic, especially in the Knights Of The Old Republic series, where the ship of the character the Ebon Hawk was at one point a spice smuggler's ship. Despite all of this, Spice doesn't have a lot of in-universe lore that is easily accessible. So we decided to fix that by telling you everything you need to know about Spice.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in Futurism'Star Wars: Queen's Hope' Review
*Spoilers for Star Wars: Queen's Hope* E.K. Johnston's trilogy of Star Wars novels has come to a close with Star Wars: Queen's Hope. Released earlier this year, Queen's Hope serves as the third and final installment in her series of novels focused on Padmé Amidala. While her first novel Queen's Shadow, focused on Padmé's transition from the Queen of Naboo to a Senator, and the second novel, Queen's Peril, served as a prequel to flesh out her time as Queen, Queen's Hope focuses exclusively on her early days in the Senate amidst the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Beginning with her marriage to Anakin Skywalker, the book follows Padmé as she embarks on a mission for the Republic while her royal handmaiden Sabé acts as her decoy on Coruscant. We also get interludes from the perspectives of various other characters in the story, including Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine, and Padmé's other handmaidens.

The first ground vehicle to be shown in Star Wars was none other than the X-34 Landspeeder. It was first seen at the beginning of Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) when Luke Skywalker crossed the dunes of Tatooine to carry out his errands for Uncle Owen, and then to go to Mos Eisley. It finally served as a ticket off the desert planet, when he sold it to pay Han Solo and Chewbacca. Its role in the saga was brief but iconic. And now is officially coming out in LEGO format.
