The Film Theorist Might Have Solved the Big 'Rogue One' Secret We've All Been Dying to Find Out!

All the theories coming out about Rogue One right now are causing a melt down of creative thought for me. I have been trying to wrap my head around all of them and I think I've figure out the best one. Everyone know's our favorite movie and video game nerd, MatPat of the hit Youtube channels The Game Theorist and The Film Theorist - well he has went all out in one of his latest theories.

In this theory he talks about how each member of the Rogue One squadron is more than likely to become what we know today as the Knights of Ren.

It makes the most sense because I personally don't understand why they would make this movie and introduce all new characters only for us to never see them again. I understand the idea of this being a standalone movie, but in a universe like Star Wars everything always ends up connecting. They have to find a way of explaining how none of these characters are ever referenced again in the entire canon of Star Wars, unless they plan on killing all of them off in this movie.

This also gives us a huge piece to the giant puzzle we have been trying to solve since last December and that's essentially all of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We've been given no information on the Knights of Ren up to this point and maybe instead of trying to explain all of the questions we have from Episode VII in Episode VIII, these stand alone movies could help piece together some of the fragments.

To me this theory just makes the most sense, and would tie together two big questions we all have with both Rogue One and the current Star Wars timeline. Of all the theories that have come out about this movie and all of the possible outcomes rattling in my head right now, this is honestly the only one I'd be 100% satisfied with. Even though I'm confident we'll all be happy no matter what happens, this it still the best idea that my creativity can dare to reach.
