**THIS IS SIMPLY A THEORY, NOT MEANT TO DEFAME OR INSULT ANY COMPANIES, PEOPLE, COUNTRIES, AND ANY OTHER PARTIES**

The Mandala Effect's name comes from Nelson Mandala, who some people incorrectly remember him passing away in prison, but he didn't actually die until he was released and died later on. The Mandala Effect basically means remembering something being one way but instead it's the other way around. Here's a few examples that we can dive into:

'The Berenstain Bears'

I remember reading this book series as a kid and now they have a TV show for it, but I remember it as Berenstein Bears, not Berenstain. And a lot of people remember it the same way that I do, but apparently it's always been Berenstain, not Berenstein.

"Luke, I am your father"

I love Star Wars, as does my father, sister, brother, and lots of people in my family. But I remember the famous line, "Luke, I am your father" from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. But if you go back and watch that scene, it's "No, I am your father." It is just one word, but that sentence that many people remember was something lots of people said as a quote from the movie and was even on merchandise and apparel. There's even memes of it!

Kit-Kat or KitKat?

As a child, I was not too obsessed with KitKats, but I loved the candy when I got it for Halloween, but I always remember it being Kit-Kat, as do quite a few other people. But you know what? Yet again, we remembered it incorrectly and it's just KitKat.

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall"

I remember as a child watching snow white and hearing "Mirror, mirror, on the wall" and people said that line, but in the movie, it's actually "Magic Mirror, on the wall", not "Mirror, mirror."

Nelson Mandala's Death

Nelson Mandala was the man that the Mandala effect was named after. Why? Because people thought he died in prison, when really he died in 2013 after being released from prison. I remember when he actually died and thinking, "Didn't he die a few years ago though?" Nope.

"We Are the Champions" Song Lyrics

So many people remember this song going "We Are The Champions...of the world!" Now, originally the song was recorded on the News of the World album in 1977. But in 1981, Queen's Greatest Hits came out and they added "Of the world" at the end, but many people remember the original saying that and not just the one released in 1981.

JIF Peanut Butter

When I was a kid, I remembered JIF peanut butter as JIF, but people kept calling it JIFFY and I was always confused; was I right or were they right? But it is actually JIF and people incorrectly remember it as JIFFY.

Did Curious George have a tail?

I watched Curious George as a kid sometimes and I remember him having a tail because he would swing from trees and I just logically thought he had one because, well, he's a monkey. Turns out, he never had a tail.

Oscar Mayer or Myer?

My family ate bologna from this company and I remember it as Oscar Myer—I remember that being on the package! But apparently, it was Oscar Mayer this whole time.

Monopoly Man

I remember the Monopoly guy for the game having a monocle and I played this game a lot! But apparently, he never had that monocle.

Pikachu's tail

I remember pokémon vividly—me and my cousin watched it a lot. I remember him having the yellow tail and Pichu having the tail that was black, but apparently people remember Pikachu having the black tipped tail instead.

Febreze

Ok, so my grandmother kept a can of febreze in her bathroom and I remember it being Febreeze, with 2 Es in the middle. But apparently the whole time it's just been one E.

There were a lot more, and you can easily find them on google. There's over 50 Mandala Effects to this day that still confuse people that remember one thing but fact says another thing.
