In the old times, Ukir the First was a notorious raider across the easternmost coast of the Orcish Khanlands and across the sea to Niho. His son, however, has come to peace with the Niho people and has taken the title of "The Yaban Hunter" to honor his orcish father and hobgoblin mother.

Ukir the Second has united the people of his province, now called Ukir's March after his father. This orcish man has become renowned for his fierce independent spirit, even greater than other orcs. He is unimpressed by military power, preferring an ally with a great personal wealth and glory in battle.

From the Foamy Cliffs in the northernmost point to Nihocoast in the south, this place is wrought with conflict between orcs and hobgoblins and supports a large half-breed community. In addition to this, while largely cold it is also home to fairly significant settlements as far as orcs are concerned. His people are often called the Ukirlings by Westerners or the Sea-Orcs (Dalaten in Orcish) by Easterners.

Riverbirth, Foamy Cliffs

The birthplace of both Ukirs, the small Year Camp of Riverbirth is set into the wide Foam-Rock river (Khooschuul in Orcish) and the sea. This is a popular birth place for many orcish nobles, as it is surrounded by abundant herbal medicines and the harsh coldness from the sea foam on the cliffs below the Camp provides the perfect environment to toughen up orcish youths. As the site of birth for two Khans, orcs tend to visit this place to resupply and see the very place the great Nihonese banes were born. This allows for some commerce to come to the place too.

Oltomb, Ukir's Rest

This is the final grave site of Ukir the First. This area is claimed, solely because of that fact, despite his people's seafaring roots. With a tomb structure deep beneath the castle built here, this is the resting place for the Dalaten people, both physically during their long nomadic travels or in their old age and also when they die. While there are many monsters here, they have grown accustomed to an Orcish presence. Despite the appearance of Ukir the Second, this place has grown accustomed to the sedentary lifestyle drink, commerce, and cities bring.

The Cove, Axebay

Called Axebay, both because most maps drawn by orcs makes the water resemble the blade of an axe, and for the infamous Man Danto massacre. This massacre saw ten thousand hobgoblin sailors, peasants, and the samurai lord Wajirou Ichisada killed by a massive force of orcs using only axes. Since then, this place has been left alone by hobgoblins and many half-breeds find it greatly discomforting. However, the settlement of The Cove has long been the staging area for Orcish pushes across the sea for centuries. From the Yaban-Orcish conflicts of the early years of the Niho empire to the more modern wars fought out of tradition. Regardless, when the Dalaten head out to sea, they begin here.

Akisuta, Niho Coast

The name meaning Autumn Star in Nihonese, Akisuta is the last place that hobgoblins can easily live in within the Khanlands. It has traded hands often between the two races and during times of peace between the two has served as neutral ground. Set up as a hobgoblin village, with some Orcish decor and dressings, Akisuta and its surrounding land, often called the Niho Coast, is a strange mix of the two cultures. Many orcs call this place stifling and many hobgoblins call it lawless.
