Apollo is the God of music, poetry, arts, oracles, prophecy, truth, knowledge, archery, herds/flocks, diseases (specifically the plague), healing, medicine, light, sun, knowledge, and protection of young. His Roman name is Apollo and he is sometimes known as Apollon. Apollo traditionally doesn't care about the gender of the person he was with. His myths are filled with him taking mortal and immortal lovers of all genders. Despite this, he has no significant other. He does have a twin Artemis and together they are traditionally known as the twin archers since both use a bow and arrow. Apollo is also one of the Twelve Olympians.

His parents are Zeus and Leto. Leto had the twins, Apollo being the younger, on Delios since she was hiding from an enraged Hera at Zeus's affair. Apollo's children are Asclepius, Troilus, Aristaeus, and Orpheus.

In lore, Cassandra was a princess of Troy and so beautiful that when Apollo first laid eyes on her he fell madly in love. When he first made sexual advances towards her she shunned him. Apollo continued to make advances and she finally gave in on the condition he grants her the gift of prophecy. Apollo didn't hesitate to give in to her demands and eagerly did so before they had sex. Once she was given the gift though, she refused him sex. No God takes kindly to broken promises or being made a fool of so Apollo turned his gift into a curse. No one would believe her prophecies no matter the circumstance.

Turns out Cassandra foretold the fall of Troy to the Greeks and when her people found the historic wooden horse outside their gates, she told them not to bring it into the city. Of course, they didn't listen and Troy fell. Cassandra escaped to a temple of Athena but was taken prisoner by Ajax, and given to King Agamemnon as a concubine. Cassandra told the King that when he returned home he would be betrayed and killed. Of course, the king wrote off her prophecy as the ravings of a hysterical princess prisoner and ignored her. But just after getting back home his wife and her new lover fatally stabbed him in the bath. Cassandra and the rest of the concubines were also killed to make room for the new rulers.
