There may not have been a 10th Anniversary Special from the Doctor Who Team in Cardiff. But a Whovian has put together a Music Video to celebrate 10 years of New Who. From John Hurt to Peter Capaldi, relive those 10 Years here. The footage from over the 10 years has been put against the song "Things we lost in the fire" by Bastille.
The History...
Bit of History for you. Doctor Who was created in 1963 by Sydney Newman. The show ran from 1963 until 1989. In 1989 Doctor Who was cancelled by the BBC. This meant we never saw what happened to the Seventh Doctor. But in 1996 the Americans brought Doctor Who back in a Movie featuring the Eighth Doctor played by Paul McGann. It didn't turn out as well as they expected. That was the last we saw of Doctor Who...
But after all that waiting, Doctor Who finally materialised back on our screens on the 26th March 2005, starring Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor with Rose Tyler as his companion played by Billie Piper. Doctor Who has been on our screens ever since the day it returned. The Eighth Doctor appeared back on our screens in 2013 for the 50th Anniversary Special alongside the War Doctor played by John Hurt. Here is an update on the Doctors and Companions of New Who.
