There have been plenty of movies, games, and series over the years when it pertains to Star Wars. The latest is The Book of Boba Fett and it is sure to have fans on the edge of their seats. Perhaps even more so now that Fennec Shand actress, Ming Na-Wen, has called the series "the Star Wars version of The Godfather."

The last Jedi made his return to Star Wars in dramatic fashion during the Mandalorian Season 2 finale, slicing his way through a hoard of Dark Troopers straight back into our hearts. However, when the hood came down and fans saw a de-aged Mark Hamill, it seemed like there was a disturbance in the Force. Many had wished for Disney to simply recast the role, akin to Alden Ehrenreich portraying a younger Han Solo, rather than using their technology to create a face that, while clearly Mark Hamill and a technical marvel, felt slightly...Off. So, if they had re-cast Luke for the Mandalorian, who would it have been? The Star Wars fandom seems to have made the unanimous decision, something extremely rare in a galaxy far, far away, that it should be none other than Sebastian Stan.

Most people immediately envisage the iconic red lightsaber when you think of the Sith. We have seen them from the start with Darth Vader in A New Hope, Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, and Count Dooku in Attack of the Clones. There is even a glimpse of one in The Rise of Skywalker with Dark Side Rey. On the other hand, Palpatine is only seen using a lightsaber in combat once in the all the movies, in Revenge of the Sith.

If you ask any Star Wars fan what Obi-Wan Kenobi's greatest failure was, they would say it was letting Anakin Skywalker become Darth Vader. That's a no-brainer. He admits it at least a couple of times. For years, it would haunt him because he protected Luke Skywalker, Anakin's son. Master and Apprentice would meet again in the original Death Star and have another duel. There, Kenobi would sacrifice himself and become more powerful than anyone could really imagine, while Anakin would return to the light and finish off Darth Sidious, bringing the Sith to an end for a time at least. That was the end of Vader as well.

On Friday, December 9, the upcoming Star Wars video games list got a new entry. The 2021 Game Awards Lucasfilm Games and Quantic Dreams announced Star Wars Eclipse. The press release describes the game as a mix of “action gameplay and intricate branching narrative to create a unique and epic experience.” Together with the announcement, a massive cinematic trailer was released, in scale and quality at least equal to those that came out before Bioware’s Knights of The Old Republic.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismRumor Suggests Fan Favorite 'The Mandalorian' Character May Appear In 'Book Of Boba Fett'
The Book of Boba Fett may only be a little over a week away, but that doesn’t mean the rumors aren’t still swimming around the digital ocean. Disney and Lucasfilm tend to keep the rumors and leaks under wraps as much as possible, but when the fans are as passionate and determined as Star Wars fans, Disney can’t catch everything. Plus, with rumors, there is really no way to tell if they are true until the show actually premieres.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismOpinion: Why 'Andor' Will Be The Best 'Star Wars' Disney+ Show Of 2022

Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismLuke's First Duel With Vader Was Actually Before 'The Empire Strikes Back'...And He Shouldn't Have Survived
Long-time Star Wars fans might remember that Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader met before their fateful duel on Cloud City. In the climax of Alan Dean Foster's Splinter of The Mind's Eye, the farmboy and the Sith have a lightsaber fight on the mud planet Mimban. Luke cuts off one of Vader's arms before the Dark Lord falls into a pit. Foster's novel, published in 1978 and intended as a low-budget sequel to Star Wars, should the movie have only moderate success, was borderline canon from the get-go and more or less invalidated once Empire came along.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismHow ‘Star Wars’ Storytelling Has Changed From Legends To Now
As an avid Star Wars fan and reader, Star Wars books and comic books were always my go-to, besides the movies. It was a marriage of two of my greatest passions, and I ate them up. It started one fateful day on a trip to a department store (which no longer exists) when I first witnessed the paperback edition of Star Wars: Heir to the Empire. That was soon followed by the Dark Empire comic book series. Three decades and hundreds of Star Wars books and comics later, I look back at how Star Wars storytelling has changed from legends to now. Buckle up, baby!
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismThe Current State of 'Star Wars' Gaming
Star Wars' history with video games has been a rocky one to say the least. From the cancellation of LucasArts' Battlefront 3, to the chaotic launch of EA's Battlefront 2, the Star Wars video game curse continues to this day. Though that isn't to say there haven't been diamonds in the rough.
Culture SlatePublished 2 years ago in FuturismWhich ‘Star Wars’ Disney+ Show Are Fans Looking Forward To The Most In 2022?
That is the question. 2022 is looking to be an amazing year for Star Wars with such shows like Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and of course The Mandalorian Season 3. Kicking it all off will be The Book of Boba Fett, which will debut on Disney+ later this month on December 29th with the remaining six episodes coming out beginning of next year. There will also be two animated shows coming out in 2022 as well, namely The Bad Batch Season 2 along with another LEGO Star Wars Special, some of which is becoming a yearly tradition now. That is six Star Wars shows that we know for next year. There is always that chance that there might be additional announcements in the near future. We'll just have to wait and see. We may find out more during Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim in May 2022.
