1. The Emotional Empath

This is the most common of them all. If you are this type, you can easily pick up the emotions of others around you and feel the effects, as if they were your own emotions.

Now, this is much deeper than just feeling the vibes and emotions in the air or knowing someone is sad.

When they cry, you cry, or feel an aching heart. When they laugh, you laugh. When they're angry, you feel their frustrations and rage.

Why?

Cancers are what we call HSPs (highly sensitive people) they are one of the purest of empaths. They're all known for feeling the vibes and energy rippling around them. It's no surprise that an empath cancer would empathize with your feelings on such a level.

A Libra, always picks up on the vibes in an atmosphere, and sometimes they confuse those vibes and emotions as their own.

Leos have an ability to fill themselves with the emotions around them. They are especially susceptible to other's energy because of the way others are drawn to them. This is what can ignite or extinguish their flame.

Gemini is a highly intuitive sign. They are very in tune with the voices and vibes around them.

2. Physical/Medical Empaths

These empaths can pick up on the energy of other people’s bodies. They intuitively know what ails another person.

Physical empaths can physically feel the energy and sensations within their own bodies. Their body can empathize with another person's.

Medical empaths can feel another person's pain and illnesses.

These empaths are also known as healers, because this ability helps them treat and diagnose others. They're also very successful in the medical field, if they choose such a path.

Why?

Taurus is a physically receptive sign. The vibes and emotions they feel empathetically, can manifest into their bodies.

Leos have a special type of psychometric empathy. They can draw in sensations and vibes from people, and also objects. Have you ever worn someone else's sweater or necklace and you can feel their energy through it? This is a unique form of empathy that other signs may have too, but Leos are best known for it.

3. Geomantic Empathy

This is often called place or environmental empathy.

Those with this ability have a strong connection with the physical landscape.

If you find yourself uncomfortable, or really happy in certain environments or situations, for no apparent reason, you may be a geomantic empath.

Geomantic empaths also feel charged up when they spend time in nature, and can pick up the vibes and energy of a sacred place.

Capricorn is very in tune with their surroundings. They desire to be where they're comfortable, which is why many of them tend to be homebodies. They can walk into a room or setting and immediately decide if they like the energy or not.

Aquarius is deeply connected with everyone and everything around them. They can sense the overall energy of any place, because of the deep attuned connection they have with earth and nature.

4. Plant Empaths

If you are a plant empath, you intuitively sense the needs of plants. You have a green thumb and have a true gift for gardening and purchasing plants.

Don't feel slighted that your sign isn't listed here. This is the Virgo trademark. Their sign is well known for affecting and being affected by plant life. Lavender, Mint, and Rosemary are Virgo’s best friends. Botanics are known for impacting their psyche.

5. Animal Empath

Many empaths have a strong connection with animals, but an animal empath might devote their lives to working with creatures.

Those with this gift will know and sense what an animal needs and possibly be able to telepathically communicate with them.

Why?

Again, this is a trademark for this sign.

6. Claircognizant/Intuitive Empath

People with this gift can resonate with others energy and read into their emotions very easily.

Why?

Gemini, the highly intuitive sign, is known as a telepathic empath. They can send and receive messages through the energy of other people.

Scorpio is known as the "conjurer", they're known to be interested and in tune with the spiritual and paranormal. They can provide spiritual enlightenment for others, and some are known to be fantastic mediums.

Sagittarius is known for their value of honesty and straightforwardness. They can see through a lie. They're always seeking enlightenment and make great teachers.

Pisces are the "astral sign." they can feel energy on a different level. They are best known for using their keen and intuitive ability to avoid toxic people. You may know a Pisces with a calming and contagious energy. If they choose you as a friend, it means you have great energy.

Being an empath is what many consider a gift and a curse. But, if you can zone in on your special gift and use it to your benefit, you can help yourself and others.
