Make America ?????? Again.
I am upset. I avoid the news for a reason. It gives me anxiety. Or I get mad. Or I get sad. And then I have a very very hard time shaking that feeling. I'm on anxiety regulators for a reason. So unlike the rest of America, I do NOT start my day with the morning news. I start it with coffee, my kids, more coffee, some cleaning, more coffee, some singing with the birds like Snow White, more coffee, and then... yeah. More coffee.

I Do Not "Gentle Parent" My Children, I Teach Them
In the last few years, there has been a lot of focus on child psychology and 'gentle parenting' techniques that are supposedly 'better' methods to use to raise our children. And yeah, they are better... they are much better alternatives to the "beat the crap out of your kids until they are obedient" method that the older generations are used to.

Thank You Female Product Companies For Normalizing HumanTop Story - April 2024
I was born in 1990. In May, smack dab early mid-year. I am quite LITERALLY the definition of a '90's' kid. I don't remember a lot of commercials from when I was younger, but I do know that growing up women in media were photoshopped, sculpted, and molded to be Barbie perfect.

America - The New Type of 3rd World Country?
When I lived in Australia, it took a long time to get used to things there. Not only were the basic things like electric outlets, the prongs on something electric, the toilet flushes, light switches and the side of the road you drive on different.... but the people were different as well.

The Shadiest Financial Company and It's Shell Companies and Third Parties
I am not one to usually report on negative things. I am of the mind that there is enough ugly out there to warrant me trying not to write about trending bad news or negativity. I try to keep my articles on the more positive note.

The Dragon That Raised A Phoenix
Hey Mom. It's International Women's Day on March 8. Isn't that funny? The country we live in celebrates International Women's Day, and yet they are taking away women's rights systematically. Anyway, I'm writing this letter not just to you, but to anyone who reads it, because Vocal challenged me to write about a woman who inspired me.

My Expectations As a Writer Of My Readers And MyselfTop Story - March 2024
Mackenzie Davis issued a challenge in one of her more recent articles: Writing is NOT a Safe Space. I think this is an amazing idea - because let's be real, I am not writing for fun. I mean, I am writing for fun, but I also want to be a good writer. I want to be a writer with content worth reading. I want people on my writing platforms who read my work to say: "Oh man, she published a book? I have GOT to read it!"

Paranormal Cirque: The Horror Cabaret Circus
I've only been to a proper circus once, a long time ago when I was a kid. It just so happened that on Saturday my hetero-lifemate wifey Jess found a paranormal circus near her work and Mom asked to take the kids for a day for the weekend. We jumped on the chance. None of us had been to a circus since childhood, and what the HELL was a paranormal circus? It was right up our weird alley.

Do I HAVE To Have a Niche?
I knew growing up, I wanted to be a writer. What I did not know was that there were many universes revolved around writing and they were all different. There are so many niches and topics and types of writing that it can be confusing, overwhelming, and downright discouraging.

My Family and Our Double "Marriage"
I grew up in a broken home. And it wasn't the best experience - but not because my family was broken. It wasn't the best experience because the people involved (mostly a dead-beat biological father) were... shitty. But I grew up with a strong resolve. I knew that if I ever had kids - my life wasn't going to be perfect and I knew the chances of a 'whole' family were slim.
