The cabin of my dreams
Nestled between rolling green hills and a sparkling lake full of color and life, surrounded by trees and natural light, my dream would be a small wooden cabin there. Sitting several meters in the back yard a garden full of vegetables and fruit trees would bring tonight's dinner. A small patio provides the perfect spot to sit and drink a hot cup of coffee or Indian chai. The organic sounds of nature flowing around me bring peace to my home, soul, and mind.

New Year's Resolutions
Feb. 15, 2019: New Years Resolutions... This is something that's been on my mind for some time now. I have an issue when it comes to setting goals and actually keeping them, especially when I don't see immediate results. I am impatient, so often times when I am unable to see the progress I've been making I get discouraged and will eventually give up.

Writing Prompt #1
(Note: Writing prompt is taken from Publishing School) Mom has always been proud of her garden, an array of full blooming flowers and perfectly trimmed bushes giving a pleasant welcome to the front door. But lately the colors have been dulling, the buds are less and less, and the bees and butterflies aren't making their usual visits. Mom loved those visits, as she would sit outside and watch them buzz and fly from one flower to the next collecting as much pollen as they could carry on their legs. She always said that if everyone had their own heaven, this would be hers.

Breath
12/21/2018—I've lived in Pennsylvania for three months now after living in Central Illinois and Greater Buffalo area in New York the past several years. I was accustomed to the bitter winds and blizzard-like conditions that those states offered in abundance. So while one evening, on a warm December day in Pennsylvania, I sat on my balcony and checked the temperature on my smartphone, it flashed 60 degrees Fahrenheit across the screen, and I thought to myself, "This is unusually warm. I can't believe it's almost Christmas and it's this warm outside!" I then decided to take a break from my busy day of cleaning and allowed myself to take in the sight of the distant tree-covered hills, and the busy sounds of passing cars on a nearby highway.
